I was a “B”-brand boot fan for the last 16 years. I decided to give the Vanilla Diamond Walkers a shot. I never thought a boot could be so comfy and yet so responsive. I always thought it was one or the other. Mounted them up to a set of stopless figure plates, and I was absolutely amazed. There was no transition time! This is my first season playing derby and I was looking into all different kinds of skates. I finally decided to try some Vanillas. The first time I put them on I had NO issue with break in time or hot spots. I also love the fact that they are super affordable and even made with the top grain leather. I just wanted to let all of you know how amazing your Brass Knuckles are! I was on the 295 set up before, and I was hesitant to buy a pair of boots from a newer company, but I did my research on line, and I decided to take the chance… All I have to say is that the Brass Knuckles blow my 295′s out of the water. Your boots are at a great price and have no break in time! I had no blisters and no hot spots! Thanks to you guys, I took the money that I had left over and put it into a kick ass plate!

On a new wheel Im testin on a super slick floor here in Beloit. Hurts is sportin the Backspin Revenge 2.0 and dang Im seriously floored at the overall performance. I was gripping better then girls on hybrid outdoor wheels, better then chicks on Poisons and sorry to get all your panties in a bunch but Hurts #58 done hung up her Heartless. fyi for all of you that are ready to squeel about me promoting a wheel not manufactured by my sponsor. The 2010 season is over as of sat. and the 09 generous donation of Sponsor tester wheels hasnt carried over as of yet lol and no this isnt a sponsor plug for backspin,backspin is not a sponsor, just for real the revenge in red (i think they come in black too or another color that is a little harder} is an amazing wheel I tried out this weekend and Im smitten over them aaand dont have to be quiet about it because of conflicting sponsor wheel bwaaahaha ha. Just got my new Vanilla Curve 2.0 shoes and Labeda Proline Plates, Backspin white lite wheels and love em. Haven’t really got to skate in them. I am new to Jam skating and not use to them but they feel very comfortable. Love the way they look and feel.
o its sam here just sayin that i personally think vanilla is the best skate company around. im sure people say that but if you actually look around it seems that at least half of rinks these days the younger kids all have vanillas or maybe even some older skaters like a few at my rink they seen my vanilla curves and thought they were so cool and they ended up buying them some vanillas cause they said they liked the way i skated and the looks of them and now if you were to ask them they would tell you they love them. back on subject im just saying that vanilla is the biggest skate company out at this time. i dont care what people say about riedell and how long they have been around.. well look around now! you will see way more vanillas then ridells. so go vanilla and keep up the good work. VANILLA HAS NO COMPETITION!! #1

I have the Vanilla Blackmail. I love them. I’ve been skating rec inline skates for about 8 years and I always want to try inline speed skates but I was scared. It took me 8 years to build up the courage to buy speeds skates. When I saw the Blackmail
price I said what the hell I’ll get them. Because of the price for these skates I did’nt expect much, but I was surprise about the comfort and the speed of these skates. It took me abut 2 day to get use to the low ankle cuff. And after heat molding them it gets even better. On Sept 25,2010 I’ll be skating my Vanilla Blackmail in a 13 mile race in Prospect park in Brooklyn NY. At 47 years old Vanilla skates is giving me new trills everyday. Thank you.
I am writing because I wanted to let all of you guys know how amazing the new Brass Knuckle boots are! I was kind of skeptical before I purchased them, but the second I put my foot in the boot, I realized I will never go back and skate on any other boot. I want to thank all of you for taking the time to realize what skaters want. You actually get on our level and meet our needs. I love the way that you all are skater owned, and are FOR THE SKATERS. I’m not exaggerrating a bit when I say there wasn’t any break-in time with my Brass Knuckle boots. The boots are NOT stiff in any bad areas, they have a stiff reinforced toe for protection but it’s a nice shape and not bothersome. They aren’t stretching out in a bothersome way anywhere like many other
boots that start out soft end up doing. The boots haven’t caused and hot spots or blisters on my feet at all. I can FINALLY say I found a boot that is reasonably priced, and I didnt have to sacrifice comfort because of it!

I just got this boot not too long ago and it immediately won me over. Not only does it look sharp as hell (seriously, I wear skate covers at the rink cause I can’t handle the massive amount of attention they get) but they are incredibly comfortable. The support in the shoes is great – my feet hurt less standing in them for hours than they do in my comfiest adidas sandals. And the elastic band over the lace cover is the best touch. I don’t have to tie my skates so tight that I get foot cramps because the band keeps them perfectly snug.
The leather feels great too, in my opinion. I used to have really high end artistic skates with very expensive leather and I prefer this. I can’t speak about the scuffing – mine haven’t scuffed yet – but that leather is tough and it will hold up over time. Frankly, if mine scuff, I’d take it as a badge of honor.
Aside from the Curve (since I’m apparently biased ) I also love how the freestyles look. I think Vanilla’s quality is just going to keep getting better and better, and I do love their overall distinctive look. I personally happen to love the look of lace covers though and like the wider look of the Vanillas. IMO it has a cooler more modern styling to it.

Tonight, I’m writing you with some
major props for some totally awesome boots that I ADORE! Bear with me–I know this is long–but I can’t help gushing over how much I love my new vanillas. So I had ordered some custom-sized Riedell 265s a few months ago, and they were just not working out for me. Last week, I went into Atlanta’s local skate store to try some different plates on them as a last-ditch effort before buying some new boots at the end of the season. While I was waiting, my eyes found a totally beautiful pair of light blue vanilla speed skates. It was love at first wear, and I left with them an hour later. They are a dream, and I love them! Many, many thanks for making an awesome boot that actually fits my feet!! I’m glad there’s an reasonably-priced alternative to Ridell, because I think most of their cuts just don’t work well for the shape of my feet.

I skated on my new Brass Knuckle Derby boots for the first time on Sunday. Only gently as my torn MCL is still healing. The boots were awesome. I had the stretched at the cobblers overnight when I first got them as my feet are really thatwide and I had NO problems with them at all. As I suspected, I didn’t need to lace them very tightly anyway, as they fit like a glove. No hot spots, no rubbing, NOTHING. I am very happy!
